The North Cornish coast
is renowned for it's
spectacular rugged coastline,
cliffs, sandy beaches
and pretty villages,
not to mention the delicious
Cornish Cream teas and
pasties. You will find
them all in abundance
in and around Bude and
Poundstock. Boscastle
(of flood fame), Port
Isaac, Padstow, King
Arthur's Tintagel and
the quaint Clovelly
(where no vehicles are
permitted) are a short
drive away.
Bude is seven miles
North and provides excellent
facilities. It has two
large sandy beaches
[one sporting it's own
sea water swimming pool],
shops, supermarkets,
"Splash swimming pool",
a leisure centre, tennis
courts, golf together
with many cafes, restaurants
and pubs.
You will find some of
the best surfing beaches
in the England in the
immediate area and Bude
is proud that it was
the first life-saving
club in the UK. The
club is still very strong
and their regular Tuesday
evening demonstrations
are well worth a visit.
